Ben Jr.

As most of you know, last Thursday we had to take Ben in to the E.R. He had a high fever that we just couldn't get to come down. They did a chest x-ray and told us that he had pneumonia. We were sent home with some antibiotics after his fever came down. He has now finished all his meds, and today was his first day back to school. I think he has been bored to death just hanging out at home. He can't play any sports for the rest of the week and also no recess, but he is well on his way to being good as new. This has been a worrisome time, I have never had to deal with this particular illness before. But we made it through alright!

Report cards

I meant to post about this a week ago and just plain forgot. We had parent/teacher conferences and the kids did just great! We went to see Delaney's teacher first. She got all A's!! Her reading level also went up and she is reading at a first to second grade level already. We are so proud of her. She still enjoys being in class and her teacher loves having her. Ben also did well getting A's and B's. He did get one C, only because he is rushing through his spelling tests. But, he is doing much better already with that. Ben is also excellent in math. I am so proud that he is one of the best math students in his class! I still go in every week and help in each of their classes. It is so fun to see them at work and get to know all the kids they go to school with. Now it is only a couple of months to summer vacation!! How did that happen so fast?

Trimming trees

This past weekend, we spent time trimming some of our trees. Ben got out the chainsaw and we got to work. The kids helped by stacking logs and piling up branches. Ben Jr. is also getting pretty good at driving the Bobcat. Hopefully this weekend will be nice so we can get a little further down the row!

Idaho Trip

This past weekend, Ben and I made the 10 hour journy to Jenn and Adams house in Boise. I had to welcome their newest famly member, Connor. He was a whopping 8lbs 15oz! Way to go Jenn! Although I think he gets all that dark hair from me. I was also able to spend some time with my main squeeze, Tori. This was the first time I had ever herd her say, "Aunt Toni". It was so sweet! I was in heaven with these two.
The other main focus for this trip was Birthdays! Jenn and I are both 31 now and were finally able to celebrate together again. Our men took us out to a wonderful dinner. We had some great drinks, and free sundays! I sure had a great time.

Funny kids

The kids school is always doing something fun. This time it was pajama/crazy hair day. Ben and Laney love to get in the spirit of any school activity. This time was no exception. Even though there was snoe on the ground and it was only 10 degrees outside, they put long johns under their pajamas and headed to school!
