This year the kids were in the K-3 4-H program again. It is for kids who are not yet old enough to sign up for 4-H. The program gives them an overview of different projects that they will be able to be in. This year I was asked to sign up as a leader, so I did. I am in the middle of my online training and will be attending a couple of workshops next year. I am happy that my kids want to be involved, 4-H tought me so much and was great fun. I hope that my children will enjoy every minute of it.

Riding lesson
A couple weeks ago, I gave the kids their first riding lesson. This was so exciting for me. We were able to use our friends horse, old Bob. Ben took to it like a duck to water, I was very suprised and proud. He rode all by himself and was able to do quite a few things without any trouble. Didn't hesitate even once, it was great. Laney was a little scared to ride by herself, so I rode with her. She had lots of fun. They can't wait to go back!

Halloween
This year the kids had lots of fun. Ben was an Army Sniper and Laney was a princess again. We didn't do much trick or treating, but we did go to a carnival in town. The kids played games and got lots of candy. They also had a good time carving pumpkins. Since they are still a little small to use the knives to carve their pumpkins, they drew the face that they wanted on the pumpkin and we cut it out for them. I think that they turned out great.
